Another shot from the KEX Kids fund golf tournament. This is the Golf Ball drop, buckets of golf balls were dumped from a helicopter over one of the holes and whoever got their ball in won!

One of my Artsy fartsy photos I took at the KEX Kids Fund Golf Tournament this past weekend. Just some of the raffle tickets we sold to raise money for kids who need glasses or hearing aids, such a good cause!
A few weeks ago I went to the wooden shoe tulip festival in Woodburn, Oregon. It turned out to be an nice day and the sky just looked awesome! This shot is a good mix of the sky and my favorite color of tulips.
I found a new desk!
It was $15 at goodwill! I thought I could slap a few coats of paint on it and it would be done in a week… yeah… more like 3 weeks later and probably 10 coats paint! I lost count at some point! It also didn’t help that it was raining most of the time and even thought it was under my patio it took longer to dry in-between coats. After I brought it in the house I touched it up for another week. I’m so glad it’s done! but not sure I’m ready to start on another big project like this for a while!
A crazy/scary thing happend this past week, my neighbors house caught on fire! Apparently a spark from the fireplace hit the Christmas tree! I live on a quiet dead end street so almost all the neighbors came out monday night to see what was going on. I ran and grabbed my camera thinking, more photography practice and if I have some good shots I can send them to the local paper. (I did send this shot to the local paper, but they have a tendency to use their own photographer.) The even crazier thing is that the next morning as I was leaving for work the fire had rekindled! There was tons of smoke and I saw flames shooting out the side! I pulled over right away and called 911, I guess I was the first one to drive down the street that morning! I left for work but my parents and the rest of the neighbors came out to watch again, and the fire fighters got the fire out for good this time!
Please say a prayer for the family that lost their house! They all got out ok and they had insurance but it looks like they lost almost everything :(
I know halloween is over but i’ve been seeing all these cute costumes people have been posting online, so here is my contribution. This is a pippi longstocking costume i made for my niece a few years ago. I used an adult apron pattern but made it a little smaller, the dress under the apron is a large t-shirt that i sewed up the sides to make it smaller but still keep the length. Her hair has a wire in the back to make those pigtails stay up like pippi then added some oversized shoes and miss matched socks. Now she is ready to go on some adventures with tommy and annika!
Michael Bolton and Delta Goodrem Perform a special show for KOST 103.5 at Morongo Casino on September 11, 2011. Sadly he did not sing the tale of captain Jack Sparrow…
This is a reusable shopping bag I made for my aunt. I got the pattern from the book “One Yard Wonders” but I added the little bag to store it in (top right corner.)
Carolina Liar at 104.3 MYfm’s New Music Night at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood on August 8th 2011.
This photo of Matt Nathanson may not be the best from the MYstage performance, but it best represents the mood in that room! It was by far the FUNNIEST MYstage ever! Oh and his songs are good too! He also signed a picture for me “Janelle is my Queen!” um, he’s kinda awesome!
